Square lens hoods do a better job protecting the sensor from unwanted sun flare, your sensor is square after all.

Our hood has a narrow opening minimising the risk of something coming into contact with the lens, especially wandering fingers. But does not cause vignetting or cast a shadow when using the flash.

This lens hood is made up of two parts, a sleeve that screws onto the thread on the lens and the hood, which slides over the sleeve.

The Mk II also comes with a rubber dust cap and a adjustment tool.

What is a Squarehood?

Squarehood is a slip on lens hood made for all Fujifilm x100 cameras and the x70 camera. Designed in Stockholm by the New Zealand photographer Thomas Mansell.

"I wanted to design a lens hood that both complemented the aesthetics of the camera and secondly, wouldn’t add too much bulk to it. After all, one of the main reasons I purchased the x100f was that it was compact and I could take it everywhere.

During the design process, I worked hard to design a lens hood that met these requirements and I believe I have achieved this with the square hood."


How to use?

This kit includes the Square Hood and the adapter ring for using a filter. The adapter ring screws onto the lens and you can then attach a filter using a 49mm thread. The lens  hood slips over the adapter and filter which is then tightened into place with the two grub screws.

Fits directly to the x100, x100S, x100T x100F, X100V and x70 (no extension ring is needed).
